Dog gone!

It's State Fair time, here in Illinois and we are having record breaking terrific weather. Young and old are turning out, even on the weekdays. There are many traditions but none so fair (ha ha) as the famous corn dog, a hot dog on a stick, dipped into a corn meal batter and deep-fried. Get it now!
Clearly we have all gone to the dogs but the real question is, "Mustard or ketchup?" Ah, the next couple of days will be more complex - "Obama?" or "McCain?". I'm sticking with the corn dog, a sure winner!

As yummy as these State Fair corn dogs are, there ain't nothin' like a Dodger Dog at Dodger Stadium.
California often leads the way in healthy eating/lifestyles. One season, several years ago, the food vending contract was awarded to a new company and they were promoting a healthier ball park menu. Which meant farewell to the famous Dodger Dog.

Well not for long that is. There was such an uproar from the fans, that the vending company was forced to return the Dodger Dog to the menu. Smothered in chopped onions and mustard, a tasty treat to delight even the most discriminating taste bud.

This is not an ad for Farmer John Hot Dogs, nor is this web site in any way affiliated with Farmer John, or Farmer Ralph for that matter.
