Rock-a-bye Baby

Last night was going to be a great night for sleeping outside in the hammock. That was my own assessment. I invited Ed to come along. But I ended up with two of the dogs at my side, on their recycled bedding.
It was a great night - lots of nature noises and nothing else.
But it got cold quickly and I learned, once again, I should have listened to Ed and put the sleeping bag inside the hammock.
This morning the hammock, flashlight, and dog beds were right where we left them when we came in and got a good night's sleep.
Ah, camping out in the backyard - Isn't that what all adult women want to do?

A gal after my own heart. Is there anything better than a night spent under the stars.
Sorry you weren't able to get through the night.
Reading at night on the swing often leads to a nice peaceful pre-go-to-bed nap. The swing is not quite long enough for a full night of star gazing. Should have thought of that when designing the swing. Although a six foot swing would be pretty wide don't you reckon. This one is 54".
Temps too chilly? uf-da. Well I suppose so without a sleeping bag.
Soon, it is going to be camping time down here. Kids in school and campgrounds empty. Is there anything better?
My goal this fall is to get down to the park more often with the bike and a tent. There is wonderful riding down there in them hills. Fall is my favorite time for camping. Is there anything better?
